inspiration book
The Inspiration Book module is about creating and making an actual inspiration book. You search for inspiration on the streets, in various current media, magazines, books, art, architecture, documentaries, but also tactile inspiration (materials), personal fascinations and so much more. This project provided me with a whole new perspective on what is happening around me, what influences fashion and distinguishes me as a fashion professional from the masses. In this product, I show my fascination with cultures which are combined with fashion innovations from western Europe.
THEMES
GALAXY
The first chapter is based on the abnormal world in the Milky Way. A world we as humans imagine with creatures and floating pieces can be seen from within the earth as a luminous band that spans the sky, provided if it is dark enough. but the fantasy and imagination of the Milky Way are much more amusing. This theme is related to fashion in design and colour.
CULTURAL CORE
The second chapter is based on discovering and exploring your inner culture. Most Africans born in the Netherlands or America forget their own culture because they are completely distracted by the western culture. This chapter encourages you to blossom your inner culture and make it a priority and will make you feel keen to deepen yourself into your real roots. This chapter is in the area of identity and originality-related to fashion, being unique and distinguishing yourself from other artists or designers in fashion is very difficult if you do not know where you really come from. Everyone has it, embrace it, your inner roots.
